Itinerary

Day 1

Coast or Nairobi to Tsavo - First Game Drive

Depart early from the Kenya coast, Nairobi or the agreed start point. The first day introduces guests to Tsavo's wide landscapes, red-earth roads and strong elephant country.

  • Morning transfer: Travel toward the selected Tsavo gate with comfort stops and a briefing on the route.
  • Game drive to lodge: Enter the park and game drive toward the lodge or camp, looking for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes and predators where possible.
  • Afternoon game drive: After lunch and rest, continue exploring until sunset. The guide should focus on water points and productive plains areas.

Day 2

Tsavo to Amboseli - Kilimanjaro Backdrop and Elephant Country

After breakfast, guests leave Tsavo and continue to Amboseli. The transfer links two very different landscapes, making this short itinerary stronger than a single-park safari.

  • Morning exit drive: Enjoy a final Tsavo drive while leaving the park.
  • Transfer to Amboseli: Arrive in Amboseli or the surrounding conservancy for lunch depending on the confirmed lodge.
  • Afternoon Amboseli safari: Search for elephant herds, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, birds and, when clouds clear, Mount Kilimanjaro views.
Day 3

Amboseli Morning Safari and Return

Start early for the best chance of clear mountain views and active wildlife. After the morning drive, return to the coast, Nairobi or the agreed drop-off point.

  • Sunrise drive: Explore Amboseli's marshes, open plains and viewpoints.
  • Breakfast and checkout: Return for breakfast or take packed breakfast depending on the lodge plan.
  • Return transfer: Drive back with lunch stop en route. Offer an extra Amboseli night for guests who want less road pressure.
